2010 Nutcracker Auditions

All dancers must provide a headshot of any size with their application.

Auditions are Saturday, August 28

All dancers must bring a headshot of any size.

9:00-10:00 Dancers taking 1 Ballet Class a week
10:00-11:00 Dancers who take 2 hours ballet per week
11:00-12:30 Dancers 10 and under taking 3 or more hours of ballet per week
12:30-2:00 Dancers 11 and over taking 3 more hours of ballet per week

All ages need to be prepared to return at a later time during the day for specialty number call backs.

Mandatory Parent Meeting. Aug. 27th at 7:00 pm

Dancers must be 6 years old and currently in ballet class to audition.

What to Bring: All dancers must bring a completed application and a head shot of any size
Girls- wear pink tights, solid color leotard, & pink ballet shoes with hair in a bun.
Boys- wear black pants or shorts, solid white t-shirt & black ballet shoes.

After being a dance educator for many years I have learned the importance of teaching dance culture and tradition to young dancers. We live in a great community, many of us moved here because it has the same feel of the neighborhoods of where we grew up, strong families, safe neighborhoods, good schools. The down side of living in a small community is aspiring dancers do not have many opportunities to audition and perform locally, two skills that are integral to a dancer's education. My vision is to bring all the dancers in the community together regardless of where they dance, who they compete with or what their experience is. This is a community based company, open to every dancer, every level. It is an opportunity for dancers to audition for and perform with a professional style company. Dancers will experience the culture of dance while bringing a dance tradition, The Nutcracker, to our community. Please join us.
