At East County Performing Arts Center, we believe that every child deserves a place to shine—from their very first dance class to their final bow on stage. Whether your family is searching for dance classes in Brentwood, Oakley, Antioch or Discovery Bay, or you're exploring signing up for tap dance classes for kids, jazz dance lessons, or ballet classes for beginners, ECPAC offers a welcoming, encouraging environment where children can grow through movement and music.
We specialize in teaching dancers of all levels, from tiny toes to teens, with a full range of programs including lyrical dance classes in East County, contemporary dance training, and hip hop dance classes for teens that keep students challenged, motivated, and excited to return each week.
Our acrobatics classes for children are a hit with energetic movers, and our musical theater classes for kids and our vocal lessons give aspiring performers a chance to act, sing, and dance their hearts out—all under one roof.
But at ECPAC, we’re about so much more than steps and routines. We’re about building character.
Our students learn to be respectful, confident, and compassionate individuals who contribute to their community, on and off the stage. We’re proud to be “More Than Just Great Dancing®”—we’re a second home, a safe place to grow, and a launchpad for dreams.
With decades of experience, certified teachers, and a strong commitment to safety and excellence, we are deeply rooted in the Brentwood community. We partner with local schools, support scholarship opportunities, and celebrate the unique gifts each child brings through the performing arts.
Come visit us—and let’s take that first (or next!) step together.
DANCE CLASSES
At East County Performing Arts Center, we offer a wide range of dance classes designed to inspire, challenge, and support dancers at every level. Our youngest movers love our tap dance classes for kids. Aspiring performers can explore creativity in our expressive lyrical dance classes in East County, or develop strong foundational technique in our ballet classes for beginners. For students looking for energy and excitement, we offer dynamic hip hop dance classes for teens, fun and structured acrobatics classes for children, and fast-paced jazz dance lessons.
Our advanced students benefit from focused contemporary dance training, preparing them for performance opportunities and pre-professional pathways.

Testimonials
“ECPAC dance has helped develop and unlock our daughter Brooklyn’s inquisitive 4-year old mind into a confident 8-year athlete. Learning dance at a young age has taught Brooklyn the importance of life skills like teamwork, practice, and dedication - all of which have translated to various aspects of her life. Dance has also taught Brooklyn important athletic skills such as body control and footwork. All of these skills combined have translated to her success in the classroom, on stage, and when she steps on the soccer field. We are incredibly grateful that we chose ECPAC, they are forever a part of Brooklyn’s journey.” -

"All of these skills combined have translated to her success in the classroom"
Being a part of ECPAC has given my daughter, Hannah, so much. I have seen her grow not only as a dancer, but as a person. It has taught her to be a good teammate, to be a mentor through the TA program, and how to set goals and work her hardest to achieve them. Hannah has also gained confidence, resiliency, and strength. She is surrounded by an amazing group of kids who, I feel, will be lifelong friends, and teachers who instill work ethic and lead with love, but also set high expectations for them. The older girls are kind and generous, and serve as strong mentors that Hannah looks up to. When Hannah was 2, she started asking to take dance classes. I am beyond grateful that we found ECPAC and couldn’t be happier that Hannah is a part of the ECPAC family.-
